Hair is 2 different colours - should I try again?

I dyed my hair from blonde to chocolate brown last night and the top of my head is a bit lighter than the bottom - I'm guessing 'cause the bottom is dryer so it took the dye better. I bought an extra box of dye but didn't use it - should I use that box on my hair tonight and just not put any on the ends?

Without seeing your hair it's hard to know why it happened that way, but generally the hair on the top of your head tends to look lighter because the heat of your scalp affects the way the hair coloring processes. This is why it's important to start applying the color to the "cold shaft" first. The cold shaft is the middle of your hair shaft. The ends tend to grab color because they are usually more porous and the crown (root area) is warm so it processes color faster. My guess is that you might have applied the root section at the same time you applied the color overall. If this is correct, I would tend to let it go for a few shampoos before deciding what to do. Hope this helps!

dont dye it for another 3-4 weeks. i dyed my hair from a reddish to a dark brown and then the next week i tried to dye it red again and it ended up like yours. it kinda has a red tint to it now. wait. it wont work and its bad for your hair. trust me... good lucK

it shouldnt hurt it.. i dyed my hair 6 times in one week b4 and my hair is fine.. if i was u i would just put it on the lighter part first and let it sit for like 5 or 10 min and then put it on the rest of ur hair for the rest of the time..
