Is this important? should i tell my midwife?

i have a tendency to pass out wen experiencing sharp pains, i have fainted 3 times in the past due to bad pain in my stomache, and my mum feels i should mention this to my midwife, although i think possibly the reason i faint is because i dont know whats causing the pain and its because im frightened. if in labour, i know why im experiencing it so i think i may be ok! also wen i get really hot i have trouble breathing properly, but again it has to be in a certain heat (like hair dryer blowing on your face etc) so again i dont feel its necassary to mention, do you think i should??? im 4 1/2 months pregnant x

Is this important? should i tell my midwife?

When you are pregnant it is important to tell those medically caring for you any little detail that may affect your pregnancy or delivery. Fainting during delivery would be a HUGE deal because it creates a dangerous situation for both you and the baby.

Yes, by all mean tell your midwife this and any other little thing you can think of! It is ALWAYS better to be safe than sorry .. espceially when it comes to having a baby.

Good luck to you!

Can't do any harm to metion it. You're better off mentioning and it not being a problem than not mentioning and it being a problem...if you see what I mean!

Is this important? should i tell my midwife?

Any kind of passing out is important enough to mention to your midwife.....you have absolutely no idea whats causing you to pass out, therefore you can't self-diagnose and say that nothing is wrong.

So yes, your mom is right. Better to be safe than sorry.

Is this important? should i tell my midwife?

Yes, you have to tell her because anything can happen in pregnancy. If this is your first pregnancy it is very important. Labour is painful and scary when you haven't been through it before, so don't hold anything back.

Is this important? should i tell my midwife?

Definitely mention it.

The fainting could be a side-effect of a sudden drop in your blood-pressure and that could be potentially harnful to your baby.

It's important to figure out why you're fainting!

Is this important? should i tell my midwife?

yes talk to her about it..She has been through it and if you need to do not hesitate to go to a doctor. The babys health is the most important thing right now.

Is this important? should i tell my midwife?

please hun do tell your midwife,it maybe nothing , sometimes sharp pains are caused by the ligaments in your tummy softening to allow the baby to have more room but it does need checking out it could be anything.

its better to be safe then sorry.

i know its worrying but thats what the midwife is for.

take care

Is this important? should i tell my midwife?

i would say to the midwife, this is a sign of low blood pressure and stress and the passing out could be dangerous for your unborn baby, the midwife then might refer u to a doctor who may be able to help with these pains, i wouldn't waste time with this one, passing out is never a good thing, and pain even though common can sometimes be more serious better to be checked out.... always better to be safe than sorry !!!

Is this important? should i tell my midwife?

You should say this to your mid wife and your doctor this could be serious

Is this important? should i tell my midwife?

yeh go to the drs asap, dont delay because this could be a number of things and none of us here are dr's so we cant really advise you in anyway.

This sounds serious im the same as you 18wks and i dont experience any of the above and nor did i with my first son.

Is this important? should i tell my midwife?

yes tell your midwife as it for them to be aware of any unusual symptoms as this may cause problems as you re baby grows also if you are suffering with sever pain in you re stomach no matter how infrequent and it make you faint it should be investigated as fainting while pregnant can be dangerous to you and the baby so please talk to you re midwife that is what their there for

Is this important? should i tell my midwife?

tell them if you are passing out it may affect the baby if it is a circulation problem.

Is this important? should i tell my midwife?

get on the phone now it sounds like firstly you need peace of mind, second i think you have a water infection that needs treating and possibly these are giving you panic attacks look after yourself xxxxx (i dont mean to be as blunt as it reads by the way;-)

Is this important? should i tell my midwife?

Yes you should so that they can understand what is going on if you do faint! Its better that they know than not. Plus - there is no way you can predict your body's reaction during labour especially if you are taking drugs for pain relief etc.

Hope it all goes well.

Is this important? should i tell my midwife?

I would def mention it better to be safe than sorry and your baby should be the most important thing right now. What harm will it do if you do tell him/her. Dont leave this or you could come to regret it

Is this important? should i tell my midwife?

Your midwife is there to help you and advise you. If you have any question or concern, no matter how small or insignificant you think it is, mention it to her. If it is nothing to worry about, she will put your mind at rest, if it needs looking into, she can put you in touch with specialists etc. Never be afraid or embarrassed to discuss queries with your midwife after all it is definitely better to be safe than sorry, especially when you are pregnant.
