I spilled juice on my laptop...will it eventually die?

I have a Macbook. I spilled cranberry juice all over the keyboard, then dried it with a hair dryer (though I learned later I probably shouldn't have.) It's working okay for now except that the disc drive is acting a little weird and the side scroll bar is kind of slow. Will it rust and die, or might it be ok?

Ouch. Sorry to hear about that. I have a MacBook Pro and can't imagine that happening to my "baby." My condolences! :)

Anyway, I'd call the Apple tech support line if it's still under the Apple Care plan and try to see what they say is a good option. If you can't get assistance that way, maybe visit one of the Apple stores in your area with the "genius bar" and they may be able to offer you some advice on what to do. Good luck!
