I'm using a semi-permanent (gone in 4-8 washes) I aplied the color and I sat under the dryer and no changes. The clerk did not mention to use any volumizer with the hair color. Was I supposed to?
Hair coloring?
As in volumizer you mean the peroxide and ammonia that are used to oxidate the hair right? With semi permanent hair color you don't need a oxidizer that's how it washes out in 4-8 washes. Check on the back of the product next time it should tell you what's in it.
Hair coloring?
Using heat on hair color may affect the results due to its chemical component. Try applying the hair color and leaving it on for the prescribed time (according to the box) without any heat and then washing the hair with shampoo only.
Do not add volumizer.
