Does anyone get really creepy feelings at home and visuals you can't shake?

I don't like the back side of my house I always feel like there is someone/something back there. I walk down my hall backwards so I can "see" things. It's a new house so I KNOW there isn't anything to be scared of. I hate to run my vacuum or hair dryer because it creeps me out when I'm by myself. Also, I always picture things like something behind me in the mirror or behind curtains. I can't close my eyes in the shower and I make my boyfriend walk behind me in the house sometimes. I wish I could outgrow this or something. Does anyone else feel like this or do you know how to stop thinking/feeling such horrible things? Please no sarcasm :)

I do stuff like this sometimes. The way I deal with it is to act completely normal, not to change my behavior because of the fear. My big thing is feeling like there's something behind me when I'm walking through a dark room. But instead of walking faster or turning around, I force myself to slow down and tough it out. I haven't had much of that sort of fear in the last year or two, so maybe it worked!
