I need help! I have major frizz. I don't use a blow dryer or hair staightner or anything, but my hair is still frizzy. Are there any home remedies or cheap products that work for frizz? Any help appreciated

Mix 1 egg, and one part mayo to one part olive oil and work through hair starting at the roots. Let sit any where from 15 to 30 minutes. Then rinse. Try doing this once a week and it will gradually help with frizz and shine. Also John Freida's collection works really well. Try the frizz serum.

There is this stuff by suave that i use called Proffessionals sleek frizz control liqui-gel. It works really good and smells pretty good. i've let my friends borrow it a few times and they all love it too. it's not really expensive it's under $10 and u can get it at wal mart! good luck!

I like to use coconut oil. You can find it at a health food store near you. Just a little bit goes a long way. It melts at body temp! If that doesn't work try olive oil.

At school, they teach us that ionic hair dryers are the best dryers to use in the salon because they get rid of static electricity and the heat bonds from the dryer bond with the shampoo, conditioner, and styling products and activate their ingredients and they work a lot better.

When I use it on my clients with longer hair, I see that it gets rid of static electricity in the hair...but thats about it lol.

I purchaced one of those Igea ionic dryers years ago, I do not notice any differance infact I have gone back to using my regular blowdryer, so I think it is up to you. Personally I do not see any differance.

I am not sure. But my hair dresser told me thar diffuser work best. If you cannot get one, or yours is broken, put a sock over a hair dryer and turn it on. It will make the air come out slower, but will leave you with gorgeous hair.

Ionic dryers are the best

The reason why is the negative ions cause water molecules to explode ,making your hair dry way fast.

Regular dryers just causes evaporation.

The ions also hit open cuticle forcing them closed. that's why they make your hair so smooth and shiny.

The ions also help to "activate" styling product in your hair.

Also make sure you get a dryer with a ceramic heating element, like the Chi. Ceramic produces radiant heat that does not carry as far into your hair shaft as say a steel heating element. That way Your drying your hair, not drying OUT your hair.

Also always blow dry down the hair shaft. from roots to ends. That way your following the direction of the cuticle layer making it smoother. when you blow dry up the hair shaft you Will cause cuticle to lift.

so its better not to blow dry with your head upside down and blow it all over, (unless your late to work)lol

for some reason when Im at home or going some where that isn't school my hair is perfectly normal but when I'm in school after about an hour or so my hair is staticky.

everyday I use a round brush,blow dryer,and hair spray to make it have more volume.

how can i get it to be not so staticky anymore?

i don't want to change hairstyles because I hate wearing my hair up or slicked down in the winter

It helps for when using a blowdryer or straightener ...but it also helps with staticky hair.

Blow dryer and spray togeter will make your hair frizzy and then wen u brush it it will become staticky!! so here is wat u shud do: shampoo ur hair then put a leave in condioner now wrap your hair..........and sit under a dryer(you may have to buy 1 from the beauty supply) sit for about 45 minutes.........now un wrap your hair it shud feel soft.......now use a comb(the large claear ones) and comb your hair.........now use oil..........not 2 much.............now u use a brush(the straighen ones from CVS) and brush your hair...........and then style............go 2 seventeen.com for the best styles

Does using a blow dryer on hair when it has the product 'Sun-in' on it work just as well as being in the natural sun?

Yes only if you are very careful, use a minimal amount, and have light hair (as in dark blond or lighter) it turns your hair orange if you use too much. Last summer I nearly used a bottle of sun-in with a blow drier and it left it a bit dull (not as shiny as it would had I been in the sun), but it did get lighter.

It may be okay if you use a shampoo/conditioner that is for colored hair.

ps.the more you keep redoing it with sun-in, the blonder it gets, but the more damaged also.

You'll probably get different results. I was under the impression that Sun-in worked best with the light from the sun. Heat might yield different colors. Also, the sun provides a more controllable result. I'd stick with the sun.

Sun-in will turn your hair orange if you have darker hair. It works about the same with the sun and the blow dryer. But even if it looks ok at first, it will start to turn brassy and orange looking after a while, not cute! I tried it once on my dark brown hair and had to redye it to get the orange out.

I thought the results looked really good (blonde not orange) and it did not fry my hair at all, in fact it made it shinny.My hair is already blonde,and I didn't use the whole bottle. Also if you have brown hair (Like your avatar) you probally shouldnt use it as there is a warning right on the back saying it will turn your hair orange. But other wise I say go for it! Good product!
