I need straight hair?

my hair is wavy and kinda poofy.i cant use a blow dryer or a hair straightner because its just going to dry my hair even more.i used serums but i think im doing it wrong please help me before my prom!thank u!!

I need straight hair?

use an iron

I need straight hair?

FLAT IRON / STRAIGHTENER IRON. THE NEW ONES ARE CERAMIC, AND SOME HAVE STEAM.

GET THE ONE WITH STEAM, IT WILL FIX THE FRIZZ AND STRAIGHTEN IT OUT AT THE SAME TIME.

SERUM ONLY WHEN YOUR HAIR IS DRY, AND START AT THE UNDERSIDE OF YOUR HAIR, SO THAT THE GREASIEST PART (FIRST RUN THROUGH YOUR HAIR) IS UNDERNEATH, WHERE IT CANNOT BE SEEN AND KEEPS THE FRIZZ DOWN AS WELL.

I need straight hair?

I have super kinky, frizzy hair. I FINALLY got smooth, frizz-free straight hair by using a smoothing cream (Matrix is a great brand, but suave works just about as well) and get an expensive hair straightener. Expect to spend around $75-$150. I wash my hair at night and let it air dry over night, then straighten in the morning. I normally have really dry hair, but for some reason, this doesn't dry it out. I have my straightener set at 470 degrees and it makes my hair so smooth, shiny, and soft. If you're skeptical, go into a Sally Beauty Supply store and ask them. They're full of good advice and great (and expensive) product! Good Luck

I need straight hair?

use any perm solution. just wet your hair, comb through solution 1 for about 10 or 15 minutes. rinse well and comb through soluion 2 for 5 minutes. rinse well. it will leave your hair nice shiny and straight.

Does anyone know if Norwegian Cruise Line has hair blow dryers in the staterooms?

We are on the Dawn. I can't find the answer on the NCL website and I need to know if I should pack one.

Does anyone know if Norwegian Cruise Line has hair blow dryers in the staterooms?

Yes, all staterooms on the Dawn have hair dryers.

Does anyone know if Norwegian Cruise Line has hair blow dryers in the staterooms?

Every NCL ship has a hair dryer in every stateroom, but my sister said that they aren't very powerful, and the power outlets don't have a high enough capacity to handle good blow dryers you bring from home with you.

Does anyone know if Norwegian Cruise Line has hair blow dryers in the staterooms?

When I went on that cruise line 3 years ago they did. Enjoy your vacation, We had a great time.

Does anyone know if Norwegian Cruise Line has hair blow dryers in the staterooms?

They will have them.

Question about black hair (details)?

Does anyone know why black hair has a tendency to be dry and break? I know curly hair (even white curly hair) has a tendency to be dryer than straight hair, but that's mainly because white people with naturally curly hair can't brush it and bring the natural oils from the scalp down the hair shaft, or their hair will get frizzy. Is it the same principal with black hair?

Question about black hair (details)?

I'm assuming you mean black people's hair, not the color. As far as I know, that's not really true if you condition the hair as it should be. Now, like any hair, if you continuously use heating products and put weaves and things, it will damage the hair and make it break. And, as we know, a lot of black women fry their hair daily with flat irons and put glue in their hair when they get weaves.

But in its natural state, with proper conditioning and care, as with all hair, black hair, while not as straight and manageable as the hair of other nationalities, will be strong and healthy.

Black Hair Care: How do I apply gel so it will stay all day without frzzing up and lay flat?

My hair is unrelaxed at the moment and I use ampro prostyle gel (the best gel for black hair) for it to lay flat but it doesn't. Should I sit under a dryer? Wet my hair before using it? What am I doing wrong? Please Help!

Black Hair Care: How do I apply gel so it will stay all day without frzzing up and lay flat?

Personally I use Fantasia Gel, the brown kind. It's great and holds my hair without making it hard or drying it out. You can find it at most beauty supply stores. The answer to your question depends on how you want to wear your hair. If you're trying to push it back into a ponytail or puff well then style it wet. Put the gel all over and brush back. Then tie a headscarf around your hair pretty tightly and let your hair set in that condition. It usually on takes about 10 minutes for my hair but if you want to wait for it to completely dry then wait for about 30 minutes. It keeps my edges from being frizzy all day and if I remember to tie my hair up at night it even keeps away the frizzies for a couple of days. Also since you have natural hair try this website www.nappturality.com. There are a ton of us with natural hair there and you can get many tips on your hair.

Black Hair Care: How do I apply gel so it will stay all day without frzzing up and lay flat?

Personally I have used ECO style gel and it does not flake. Being that you have natural hair you should try to part your hair and place the gel of your choice there and comb it in the direction you desire. If you do happen to wash your hair first blow dry it and then place the gel on it also a little jam wouldn't hurt. hope this helps

Black Hair Care: How do I apply gel so it will stay all day without frzzing up and lay flat?

after washing your hair put the jel in then blow dry/style it as usual.

Black Hair Care: How do I apply gel so it will stay all day without frzzing up and lay flat?

put lots of gel .

Black Hair Care: How do I apply gel so it will stay all day without frzzing up and lay flat?

change the gel you use.

i use gel every single day.

i use garnier frutics

i don't use much and it still works.

Black Hair Care: How do I apply gel so it will stay all day without frzzing up and lay flat?

umm try bedhead hair glue.

Black Hair Care: How do I apply gel so it will stay all day without frzzing up and lay flat?

I have relaxed hair, but one of my friends has natural hair. She swears by Carol's Daughter Products. It is a store in Brooklyn, but you can get their stuff online or at some Sephora stores. I bought some stuff and it worked real good!

Frizzy hair!!! home remedies??

I need help! I have major frizz. I don't use a blow dryer or hair staightner or anything, but my hair is still frizzy. Are there any home remedies or cheap products that work for frizz? Any help appreciated

Frizzy hair!!! home remedies??

Mix 1 egg, and one part mayo to one part olive oil and work through hair starting at the roots. Let sit any where from 15 to 30 minutes. Then rinse. Try doing this once a week and it will gradually help with frizz and shine. Also John Freida's collection works really well. Try the frizz serum.

Frizzy hair!!! home remedies??

use ghd hair straightner.

ITS GOOD

Frizzy hair!!! home remedies??

I put honey in my shampoo, but I wash it out really well.

Frizzy hair!!! home remedies??

Frizzy hair!!! home remedies??

Frizzy hair!!! home remedies??

Frizzy hair!!! home remedies??

There is this stuff by suave that i use called Proffessionals sleek frizz control liqui-gel. It works really good and smells pretty good. i've let my friends borrow it a few times and they all love it too. it's not really expensive it's under $10 and u can get it at wal mart! good luck!

Frizzy hair!!! home remedies??

I like to use coconut oil. You can find it at a health food store near you. Just a little bit goes a long way. It melts at body temp! If that doesn't work try olive oil.

What kind of blow dryers will help straighten my hair???

I have slightly curly/wavy hair that I have to blow dry and straighten every day! Do you know of any kinds of blow dryers that will help straighten it?? Hair product?? thanks

What kind of blow dryers will help straighten my hair???

Any kind that don't produce steam or keep the moisture in your hair as these will bring out your curls/waves later on. Also avoid anything that says ION on the packaging...more steam and moisture infusing products.

What kind of blow dryers will help straighten my hair???

there is one kind of straightener that straightens and dries you hair all at once. i dont know if they really work though. i've just seen them in stores.

What kind of blow dryers will help straighten my hair???

um well try a straighter duh

What kind of blow dryers will help straighten my hair???

I don't know of any blowdryers to straighten hair, but a hair straightening iron does a good job. But if your hair is more than shoulder length, it can be time consuming and damaging to the hair. Maybe you should forget about the straightening and go with what you have. Instead, use curling and frizz products to add soft curls to hair. Just a few products and scrunching your hair with your fingers should give you a great look!

What kind of blow dryers will help straighten my hair???

find a shampoo that says straighten on the bottle use the conditioner that goes with it. most blow dryers that you can get now have an attachment that helps to straighten hair ........even if you dont have the attachment then use a round brush when you are blow drying your hair. if you dont want to have to do this every single time you wash your hair then talk to your local salon about having your hair relaxed by them

What kind of blow dryers will help straighten my hair???

A blow dryer that will help straighten your hair even though it's curly is Con air's New Product called the Infiniti Hair Designer 280

This product blow drys, straighten, and add a silky shine not only it stops frizz and gives volume. I would perfer you use it because my sister has thick curly hair and now since she used it her hair is straight silky and healthy. It is a great product. It's actually worth it.

What kind of blow dryers will help straighten my hair???

try BIOSILK it saves lives!

What kind of blow dryers will help straighten my hair???

NAIR LOL

What kind of blow dryers will help straighten my hair???

Well I'll tell you what I do:

I also have curly/wavy hair. After washing my hair with any smoothing shampoo and conditioner, I wrap it up in a towel for about 10 minutes to get all the excess water out. Then I apply Paul Mitchells Super Skinny Serum through out my hair and comb it through with a wide tooth comb. Then I blow dry it till it's dry. I don't try to style it while I blow dry it, I just do it till it's dry using a brush designed for drying.

Then once its dry, I straighten it section by section starting at the bottom. I pull it back leaving a small section out at the bottom and work my way up with my CHI flat iron. I apply a tiny bit of the serum after I'm finished to keep it shiny and smooth.

Also, I don't wash my hair everyday. I only wash it every other day so I won't have to do blow dry and straighten everyday. It really helps alot. Just pull it back in a bun and cover with a shower cap when you take a shower.

Hope this helps. Contact me if you have any questions!

Good luck!

What kind of blow dryers will help straighten my hair???

use straightening hair gel, shampoo...get a ionic dryer with the attatchment(not the diffuser, the other one)and brush your hair as you dry it. you will probably have a couple unstraight hairs--so you might wanna straighten them

Will the spring's new hair styles like the bob or the long, straight across bangs work on curly

I have naturally really curly hair. I straighten my hair a lot using a straightener and blow dryer and my hair straigtens really well. I have long hair and I want to change my hairstyle a bit but I dont tink I want to do anything too drastic so I was thinking of getting bangs and just osme more layers. I really like the new long blunt cut bangs that kinda meet at the eyebrows, that a lot of the celebrities are wearing now. Does anyone know if these kind of bags would work on my hair, obviously Id straighen and style my hair to wear them, or will they not turn out right?

Will the spring's new hair styles like the bob or the long, straight across bangs work on curly hair?

Yes, if you cut it short enough to show hair rite under the occipital but please don't cut the bang too short so that they raise when half curly above the eyebrows

don't forget to add a little hightlights to set it off!~!

Will the spring's new hair styles like the bob or the long, straight across bangs work on curly hair?

Do wispier longer bangs, so that way if you don't straighten your hair or it gets wet and goes back to its curly roots, it'll still look good..

I don't suggest a heavy thick straight bang - best left only up to the girls with super straight thick hair..

Ask a hairstylist, they will suggest something that'll work with your hair, not against it.

Dry hair/scalp, itchy and flaky?

i recently started using a blow dryer and my hair and scalp have become dry and flaky. I have thick, curly hair so i have to use gel and hairspray to keep it from getting puffy, frizzy and going all over the place, so i was just wondering if using something like VO5 hot oil would add some moisture. also, i use conditioner after i wash my hair and i noticed that some of my hair falls out, is this normal?

Dry hair/scalp, itchy and flaky?

the hot oil treatments will help for the dryness of the hair and scalp. for the itch and flakes use tea tree oil shampoo and conditioners. you can find them in any beauty supply store. you can also try drying your hair on a low heat setting. your hair shouldn't fall out if its moisturized properly so keep it moisturized

Dry hair/scalp, itchy and flaky?

1) It is normal to loose a few hairs every day.

2) Use a super absorbent hair towel (ex. Aquis or The Body Shop) %26amp; keep the blow dryer away from your scalp. Use a cooler setting at the roots too. http://www.aquis.com/

3) Try to find a low alcohol gel. Consider using a silicone anti-frizz serum instead. Kiehl's Silk Groom is another good product for curly hair %26amp; will leave it soft. http://www.kiehls.com/_us/_en/catalog/pr...

4) Joico K-Pak conditioner is excellent. It can be used every day or as a deep conditioning mask if left on for 5-10 minutes. Joico also makes a spray on leave in conditioner. http://joico.com/index.php

5) If you need to moisturize your scalp, rub a drop of jojoba oil between your hands %26amp; massage your scalp. I use Desert Essence brand. It's available @ Trader Joes', Whole Foods, etc. Jojoba oil is non-comedogenic %26amp; washes out easily so there is no build up. http://desertessence.com/

6) Consider finding hair styles that allow you to let your hair dry naturally. ex) Braid loosely %26amp; twist it into a bun, secure w/ hair pins. Use a little pomade or serum to help smooth it out.

7) Consult a hair dresser about a different hair cut that works w/ your hair texture.

Dry hair/scalp, itchy and flaky?

You probably wash your hair too much ,Wash your hair every other day and use Head and Shoulders Drandruff Shampoo/Conditioner. Also use Herbal Essences None of your Frizziness to helpwith your thick curly hair. I have thick and curly hair too... and i also use Paul Mitchell smoothing and straightening serum. it works really good. As for hair falling out, thats completely normal. Hair is weak when its wet so just be careful when your in the shower... take a look in your hair brush. Theres tons of hair.

Dry hair/scalp, itchy and flaky?

The best thing for dry itchy flakey scalp is Paul Mitchell tea tree shampoo and conditioner. It tingles a little but your flakes will be gone after only a few shampoos. It also has a cooling effect that is great in the summer time.

How do i get out my perm without ruining my hair?

I got a perm almost a year ago and it wont wash out. Naturally i have like stick straight hair and i want to go back to that. Does anyone know an easy way to get rid of it that wont make my hair and dryer then it already is. p.s. a straight perm is not the answer, i need a free way that i can do at home.

How do i get out my perm without ruining my hair?

well, im having the same problem. I got a perm almost 3 years ago. when i started to straight iron it it got a little better. but use a protectant. otherwise your hair will start breaking. if you get a better answer let me know!!

Hair problems..?

i have sort of straight hair. its still wavy at times. my problem is i want to be able to take a shower in the morning and without STRAIGHTENING IT BY USING A STRAIGHTENER how can i get the effect of silky smooth straight hair? i've tried with just using a blow dryer but my hair still comes out poofy after that. any advice or techniques?

Hair problems..?

there really isn't any other way to make your hair straight besides straightening it with a flat iron OR getting it permenently straightened (which can be costly, ineffective, and damaging).

a flat iron can be a great tool if its used correctly. the problem is, you can buy a flat iron anywhere, but nobody tells you HOW to use it to keep your hair healthy. well, thats what i'm going to do.

first of all, you need a ceramic iron. most of them are these days, but you can't cheap it out. the cheap ones are usually just ceramic coated, which means its not REALLY ceramic. you need one thats fully 100% ceramic or else it'll fry your hair. a good flat iron will cost you at LEAST $50, but it should last your forever. I love the Paul Mitchell smoothing iron. It's about $120, but it works really well, adds a ton of shine, and will last you years...literally. i'm a professional hairstylist, and i've had my Paul Mitchell iron for 1 year and a half now, and I use it WAY more than you ever could. Chi is another good one, but expensive.

another very important step is PRODUCT. people fail to use good products, or any for that matter, because they feel they don't work, or for some other reason, but even if the product doesn't work, it WILL protect your hair. a leave-in conditioner like Paul Mitchell The Cream works great, and if you're trying to get a shiny, sleek finish, Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum works wonders! Use it when its wet AND dry, and it will protect your hair. the iron will burn off product before it burns your hair.

lastly, you shouldn't be heat styling your hair on a daily basis. washing your hair too much will dry it out, so try to go at least every other day. a flat-iron finish should last at least 2 days, if not more than that. obviously, if your hair starts to look greasy, or starts to smell bad, you should wash it. but on average, you can go 2 days before this starts happening.

you should also use a good moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. make sure you don't put the conditioner directly on your scalp or it'll weigh it down or look greasy. always start on the ends, and work your way up. the ends are what need the moisture most.

good luck! i hope this helps.

Hair problems..?

that was good advice Report It

Hair problems..?

put a relaxer on it

Hair problems..?

use a hair serum. it wil calm ur hair down

Hair problems..?

why dont you want to use a straightener? same thing happens to me when i blow dry it so i just let it air dry over night then in the morning straighten it.

Hair problems..?

well, u can go to a salon, and then have your hair straightened. then, after u do that, use straightening shampoo to keep you hair straight. good luck!!!!!

Hair problems..?

Find a salon that offers the Brazilian straightening method. My best friend had Shirley Temple curls and now its stick straight, has no frizz and we live in Miami!! (humid)

The brazilian straightening is cheaper then the japanese version plus after the first time you only have to touch up your roots. So you could wait up to 6 months if you didnt have the time or money. Its also super healthy.

Good luck!!

Hair problems..?

have a stylist apply a relaxer.....CHI is the best

Help!! Dry, frizzy hair!!?

Normally I get tons of compliments on how soft, silky, and shiney my hair is. I straighten it daily but I always use heat protectants and deep conditioning masques to keep it healthy. Well, about a week ago, I had an extremely busy week and to spare time, I blow dried by hair on high and then straightened it afterwards, and while using an awful blow dryer. Stupid I know, but I figured since I was using heat protectants it would be fine, but by the end of the week I stopped using the blow dryer and my hair was totally fried, all dry and frizzy and gross!! I tried using my hair mask (Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Deeeep) and an olive oil masque but my hair is still gross!!! Help, what do I do??!

Help!! Dry, frizzy hair!!?

try moisterizing it then try to use some suave conditioner

Help!! Dry, frizzy hair!!?

I let my hair get oily on its own by not washing it for a few more days than usual!

Have you also tried using VO5?

Good Luck!

Help!! Dry, frizzy hair!!?

it may take a few days or even a week to get your hair back to the way it was..BUT that doesnt mean you can't get it back to being beautiful! Just soak your hair in natural oils ( I use cocunut and sometimes canola, cause its cheaper) and sleep in it then wash it out in the morning. Do this for as long as it needs it. Switch to shampoo and cond. for dry dry hair if you aren't already using it!

Good luck ;-)

How can I dry my hair straight?

I'm no professional, I don't have all the fancy blow dryers and hair products. But, when it comes to drying my hair, by the time I'm done it's really poofy and just completely everywhere. Are there any tips I could get?!

How can I dry my hair straight?

first let it air dry for atleast 10 min so u dont burn it. then hold the dryer up a foot above from your head (again not to burn it)- always face it blowing down

if u have thick hair ur going to have to seperate it into parts

How can I dry my hair straight?

ok well if you dont want to spend alot then i have this really aswome flat iron and when your hair is wet it drys it with steam and its olny twenty bucks

How can I dry my hair straight?

same with me!! sunsilk really does help a little bit. and there are straghteners that can straghten youre hair when its wet. i would buy one but im too lazy!!

How can I dry my hair straight?

NEVER USE A WET TO DRY STRAIGHTNER

it kills your hair

reallly badly

but what you want to do is get a heat serum to apply to your hair

flat paddle brush and blow dry it by pulling the piece through the brush

what is wrong with this tho is that brushing your hair when wet is really bad for your hair it makes it break off.

the best plan is to natural dry and straightening iron

oh and at least 3inches away with the blow dryer

Does conditioner dry out your hair?

I use a moisturizing conditioner and my hair seems dryer than it does if I use shampoo alone

Does conditioner dry out your hair?

Many conditioners contain alcohol which naturally dries your hair. Look at the components of your conditioner. It does not matter how expensive a brand it is, if it contains alcohol it will dry your hair.

Does conditioner dry out your hair?

Try herbal essences they have moister conditioner.

Does conditioner dry out your hair?

no conditioner doesnt it actually helps. it makes yourr hair softer, but when i put it in my hair i dont feel like washing it out, because it makes my hair so soft

Does conditioner dry out your hair?

Yeah, it clogs up your follicles not letting your natural oils to come out and make your hair the way it is.

Does conditioner dry out your hair?

only if you keep using it

Does conditioner dry out your hair?

Some conditioners do.

Try Frizz-Ease style-starting daily conditioner. The brand sells two different conditioners depending on whether you want to wear your hair straight or curly, but it doesn't make much of a difference. I have both brands and I find that the Frizz-Ease brand works the best. =) They also have a ton of different hair serums and cremes. I totally recommend it. Good luck!

Does conditioner dry out your hair?

It might dry it out a little bit, but in my experience, if I just use shampoo my hair tends to be very oily, and the conditioner just makes it softer and silkier.

I am an African American woman who has dyed her hair one time too many and my hair is very dry.?

I also relax my hair. Can someone tell me what brand of product to get that doesn't make my hair even dryer?

I am an African American woman who has dyed her hair one time too many and my hair is very dry.?

African-American hair, because of its fragile structure,

can be easily damaged by not only chemical services, but

by day-to-day styling. Hot irons, dryers, and curlers can

damage the hair very easily. Once damaged, the only way

to have healthy hair is to allow it to grow out and start

over again...

There are ways to make African-Amercian hair look less

damaged while it is growing out. When shampooing, make

sure you use a moisturizing shampoo followed by a strong

conditioner, leaving it on as long as you possibly can

for maximum penetration. Look for conditioners that have

proteins and humectants. If your scalp is on the oily side,

keep the conditoner away from the scalp and concentrate it

on the shaft and ends of the hair. Once a week, do a deep

conditoning treatment. Using a drop or two of a silicone

serum can add shine and smooth down the hair...

Looking Good (M-F) email appearance tips.

This deep conditioning treatment is great for dry, distressed,

or damaged hair...

Mash a ripe avocado in a bowl. Add 3 tablespoons of mayonnaise

and mix well. Apply it to dry hair and distribute it evenly to

the ends. Cover with a plastic shower cap and then cover with

a towel to keep the heat in. You can heat up the towel in the

dryer to maximize benefits. Leave on 30 minutes and shampoo

it thoroughly. Apply a light conditioner afterwards if you like...

Many people, especially those with curly hair, like the

way their hair feels at the beach. Curls are more defined

and hair seems to have more body. You can duplicate that

look by taking a clear, carbonated soda, such as Sprite or

7-Up and putting it in a spray bottle. Spritz it on damp

curly, or wavy hair, tossle with your fingers....

I am an African American woman who has dyed her hair one time too many and my hair is very dry.?

Hi, I'm half :) There's a product at the beauty supply that is a yellow/gold label with some purple writing or a logo, it really stands out, so you'll find it, and they have a leave in conditioner and a heavier conditioner that can help with dryness, but if you relax and color your hair, the damage is done. You're going to have to wait for it all to grow out if it is really bad. I went blonde once and was frizzy for about a year until I had enough "virgin" uncolored/processed hair grown out so I could trim all the frizzies.

There are some tips at this site: http://beauty.ivillage.com/hair/volumesh...

I am an African American woman who has dyed her hair one time too many and my hair is very dry.?

TRY USING DOO GROW PRODUCTS WORKS VERY WELL FOR ME ALSO KEEP THE HEAT OUT OF YOUR HAIR AND YOU MIGHT TRY GOING LONGER IN BETWEEN PREMS

I am an African American woman who has dyed her hair one time too many and my hair is very dry.?

I use a product called Mizani. Mizani has an entire line of products. Honestly, you should never relax your own hair, even if that means having some one else do it at home for you. It has to do with timing and proper application. I also use Optimum Care "Light" Hair Dressing. It is phenomenal at keeping your hair from getting dry but it is extremely light weight on your hair. When you wash /relax your at home allow it to air dry a little before blow drying. Drink plenty of water, it really makes a difference. Always sleep with a silk or satin head wrap. It moves with your hair and does not take the moisture out of your hair.

I am an African American woman who has dyed her hair one time too many and my hair is very dry.?

There is a perm out called olive it's in a light green box, it's really good try it. Also you have to use moisturizing shampoos and conditioners, and deep condition your hair with the hair cholesterol it's really good also, put the moisture back in your hair and keep your scalp oiled, olive has a excellent hair moisturizer comes in a bottle and a jar which ever you prefer.

Hair???????

what damages more hair a blow dryer or a flat iron

Hair???????

I'm pretty sure that a flat iron does more damage. Especially if you use it everyday. Blowdryers can do some damage, but I don't think a whole lot. To stop the heat damage, get some hair stuff specially made to protect from heat.

Hair???????

Flat Iron, or that is what is more damaging for me because it makes my hair brittle and dry

Hair???????

flat iron. dey totaly ruin ur hair but it looks good lol.the blower doent do much damage.

Hair???????

Flat iron, but if you want to spend the money, you can by a Chi (Xi?) Flat iron and that's not as bad for your hair. It costs $120 and they only sell it in salons (at least that's the way it is in VA).

Hair???????

A flat iron....especially the CHI.

Hair???????

probably flat iron because its directly on hair

just remember to use before and after heat activated products .. it protects your hair!!

goodluck

Hair???????

both ...but i guess the flat iron, cuz it compressed the hair, and it sucks all the water out of it...while the blower, "dryes" the hair....still damages dou, but with less damage is my guess

Hair???????

flat iron because it really dries up your hair

Hair???????

flat iron

Hair???????

both damage the hair but flat iron damages more because it touches your hair directly and blow drier doesnt.

Hair???????

flat iron it has more heat which you can't control but on a blow dryer you can control the heat

Hair???????

DEFINITELY the flat iron...if you need to straighten your hair (like I do), use a round brush and blow it out straight first on medium heat setting, then go over it with the flat iron just on the areas that need it. Always use a heat-protection serum or cream on your hair beforehand so you don't get crispy ends. And DON'T use the flat iron on wet hair - bad news.

Hair???????

both can damage your hair...but it all depends on how often you blow dry your hair.

Hair???????

flat irons because it makes me get split ends, but it works

Is there a way to straighten my hair without a straightener?

i have an access to gel hair spray blow dryer comb

thats mostly it and if you have any other suggestions i will be happy to hear them.

Is there a way to straighten my hair without a straightener?

Well sometimes I straighten my hair with a blow dryer instead of a straightener because it is a lot faster and I have thick hair. Once you get out of the shower put a quarter size amount of gel in your hands, rub them together and spread throughout your hair. After that, comb your hair just so that it spreads evenly throughout. What I do is I tilt my head down and have the blow dryer in one hand, a vent brush (or comb, since that's what you've got) and slowly comb down a part of my hair and put the blow dryer on it as I move down the hair shaft. It takes me a while because I have thick hair so sometimes I just blow dry my hair all over before so it's still damp, but not as wet. Once you've got it all dry and straight spray some hair spray all over your hair (just a little bit) and comb through once more (once again just to spread it throughout evenly). Since you put gel in it beforehand, it shouldn't be frizzy. Good luck.

Is there a way to straighten my hair without a straightener?

Use a smoothing shampoo/conditioner, and blow dry your hair with the air directed down the hair shaft.

Is there a way to straighten my hair without a straightener?

I can't think of anything that can straighten with just what you have [considering you don't have naturally straight hair] but all I could tell you is to blow dry your hair with a big brush and straighten it that way.

Is there a way to straighten my hair without a straightener?

Uhh well you could get it relaxed then its straight "permanently" as soon as your wavy/curly roots come back in they just relex it a bit more and Viola you have straight hair everyday. But like odnt do this if you like wearing your hair different ways because its you relax it and then 2 weeks later you want it wavy...Yeah thats not gunna happen but for just wanting it straight ALL THE TIME thats what I did a couple years ago...and then i went back to curly =]

Is there a way to straighten my hair without a straightener?

do you have an iron?

you can lay down on the ground (make the ironing board flat) put a towel over your hair and iron through the towel.

it straightens it but it isn't really good for your hair...

but it will get the job done :)

I'm torn! Babyliss Beliss or Remington Hair Envy Travel Set?!?!?

Going on holiday and I have the Remington big shot volume hairdryer and babyliss pro 230 straighteners. Was going to buy a travel hairdryer as my remington one is a big hunk of a thing and just take my pro 230's with me as they are quite slimline. I've been toying with the idea of getting the babyliss Beliss dryer or hot air styler for a while now but I'm not too sure whether it works very well. I also don't know whether to get the remington hair envy travel dryer set as its just a mini version of the dryer I have already. Help!! Has anyone got either the Beliss or Hair envy kit? Which would you recommend and are they any good, thanks!!

I'm torn! Babyliss Beliss or Remington Hair Envy Travel Set?!?!?

Hi to be honest I was having the same thought as you, but im going to tell you that if you need a high heat straighter to make your hair straight then I have read that the babyliss beliss hair dryer straightener thing is no good, it helps to smooth the hair but to get it nice and straight you still need to use hair straighteners. I would get the travel dryer, and take your hair straighteners, as you dont want to be wasting money on something that doesnt work for you.

But I have read that the beliss just makes hair straighter and smoother for when you straighten but I think it could be quite difficult to use if your like me and you have thick hair, even tought it does have different settings on it, you will still need time and patienets to do it.

I'm torn! Babyliss Beliss or Remington Hair Envy Travel Set?!?!?

With or witout it you will be beautiful.Yet, I prefer "Hair envy kit"

I'm torn! Babyliss Beliss or Remington Hair Envy Travel Set?!?!?

I have a few questions about my static hair.?

I have really staticy hair, i try dryer sheets really dosnt work that good. Whenever im at school like at the end of the day my hair starts to get all staticy and it flys all over the place. What is the best anti static spray for your hair (if there is one) and where can I get it or order it online? please help me! I have Flat staticy greasy type hair i fixed the flatness and for most part the grease but I can stop the STATIC! lol help. Thanks :]

I have a few questions about my static hair.?

Sunsilk anti poof products worked for me when my hair was doing that to me all the time. There's shampoo, conditioner, and a 24/7 creme that you put on after you shower, and can re apply through out the day..

I have a few questions about my static hair.?

wen u wash ur hair amke sure u add alot of conditioner to the tips also get a deep conditioner and use it once a week, or try putting some mayo on ur hair for twenty minutes and rinse thoroughly. This should help buy an anti frizz shampoo like garnier use their smoothing milk creme itll make ur hairsoft

I have a few questions about my static hair.?

i agree with the first answer, i tried their volumizing creme and it tamed down the static, i got a little travel size empty bottle and put some of it in it and carry it with me when i go out

I think my hair is schizoid. Help?

So here's the deal. I have naturally very curly, very thick hair that is currently just past my shoulders (would be maybe an inch longer if straightened). At the roots and about an inch or two down, it's flat as a pancake. But then it starts curling and frizzing and poofing all over the place. I can't use shampoo for dry hair because then it makes my roots disgusting, and I can't use shampoo for oily hair because then my hair goes even dryer and poofier at the sides. Don't they make anything for "combination" hair, kind of like they do for people with oily/dry skin?

What would you guys recommend? Mostly I think I'd just like to give my roots a little more volume -- seems like it'd be easier than trying to tame the rest of my hair. I saw that Dove has something called a "root-lifting spray," but does it work? And how? Help, please, before I decide to go the Britney route and shave it all off.

I think my hair is schizoid. Help?

maybe just some regular shampoo and curly hair conditioner then leave in conditioner on frizzy part of hair but not the roots.

root lifting spray does work.

good luck to ya.

Help! I hate the texture of my hair...any advice?

Okay so my hair is a little damaged from dying it and using heat hair tools- blow dryer and flat iron. I haven't dyed it for a couple months because I'm trying to give it a break. I use a flat iron and/or dryer 3-4 times a week. I feel like I have tried every product and home treatment possible to improve the texture of my hair and nothing has worked for me- even the expensive stuff I've only seen a SLIGHT improvement. The problem with my hair is that there is moderate breakage so it is dry and brittle, it is slightly frizzy, and also slightly wavy. Do you have any recommendations for treatments or products I can use to bring shine back to my hair? To make it soft, supple, and smooth?

Also, I don't like to always style it straight, but everytime I try to scrunch it with mousse, volume gel, and a diffuser it just looks like a bad perm from the 80s...its all fluffy and frizzy, when what I'm going for is pretty, subtle waves! Any good products, tools, or strategies for this?

Eeew my hair turned orange HELP?

i had brunnette, tried to dye blonde w/o bleache now it's a repulsive orange. it might wash out sometime..meanwhile everytime i dye/straighten my hair it gets dryer and harder.is there some shampoo i could use to make it more natural???

Eeew my hair turned orange HELP?

at this point all the hair that has been affected will have to be cut off in time. about the color, it will be corrective color and that is the most expensive hair process a salon does. do not attempt anymore home remedies at all. once it is back to original shade do everything to protect the new color no sun on the hair directly. or harsh shampoos lots of conditioning on the ends. still if a salon does it you still run the risk of orange tips when the dye fades, i did this when i was really young i have dk brown hair and went blonde delt with green tips for months. never do it again!

Eeew my hair turned orange HELP?

get your butt over to a salon and get them to correct the color and recommend a good shampoo and conditioner

Eeew my hair turned orange HELP?

try using the shampoo, conditioner and luminous color glaze from john frieda. look for the one that is blondest and use that. it should lighten your hair and take the orange out.

What do I do with hair that won't grow? (read below to find out more)?

i have very healthy hair and i have been using all kinds of moisturizers and everything to make it healthy because it used to be dead from me dying it and frying it with straightners and blow dryers. my hair is naturally wavy, that's why it got fried with straightners is because i would straighten my hair every few hours. now it is healthy and i decided to grow it out. all my friends have long hair and my goes a few inches past my shoulders but i want it longer. i have waited a whole year for my hair to get long and it hasn't grown at all! i know i don't have split ends because my stylist said they weren't split, so i need to know how to grow my hair out fast WITHOUT using hair chemicals that make your hair grow longer.

Hair products recommendation for coloured hair?

My hair is thick and there's hardly any hairfalls.Recently,i dyed my hair. After a few days time,i hair bacame courser, dryer, gets tangled easily and a LOT of hair is falling out. What hair product can be used on coloured, curly hair to give it a shine, smooth and silky texture and less hairfall?

Hair products recommendation for coloured hair?

coloring hair (chemicals) will do that ...

i use all natural products on my hair, face %26amp; body ... Burt's Bees has a color keeper shampoo %26amp; conditioner that is wonderful! give it a whirl.

also, when you get out of the shower, to give your hair some luster %26amp; shine, put some almond oil on it, whether wet or dry, just don't use a lot ... you don't want it to look greasy.

Hair products recommendation for coloured hair?

Use a rich in moisture shampoo and conditioner, preferably from the salon, and use a hair serum. It should do the trick!

Good luck :)

i think the dye you used may be hurting your hair. you could ask your stylist to use a different dye next time. but gat a shampoo that is specialized in colored hair becuase it will make your hair stronger and feel softer.

'Sun-in' on hair when not sunny?

Does using a blow dryer on hair when it has the product 'Sun-in' on it work just as well as being in the natural sun?

'Sun-in' on hair when not sunny?

Yes only if you are very careful, use a minimal amount, and have light hair (as in dark blond or lighter) it turns your hair orange if you use too much. Last summer I nearly used a bottle of sun-in with a blow drier and it left it a bit dull (not as shiny as it would had I been in the sun), but it did get lighter.

It may be okay if you use a shampoo/conditioner that is for colored hair.

ps.the more you keep redoing it with sun-in, the blonder it gets, but the more damaged also.

'Sun-in' on hair when not sunny?

You'll probably get different results. I was under the impression that Sun-in worked best with the light from the sun. Heat might yield different colors. Also, the sun provides a more controllable result. I'd stick with the sun.

'Sun-in' on hair when not sunny?

PLEASE DO NOT USE SUN IN, itworks horribly, I used it on my hair and it frizzed it took me nearly two years to grow my hair out again. sorry for being so dramatic about it just don't want ya to experience what I did. God Bless

try going to a salon

'Sun-in' on hair when not sunny?

please don't use sun-in. it's a terrible product, it really fries your hair.

'Sun-in' on hair when not sunny?

yeah sun in isnt good it will turn youre hair orange

'Sun-in' on hair when not sunny?

Sun-in will turn your hair orange if you have darker hair. It works about the same with the sun and the blow dryer. But even if it looks ok at first, it will start to turn brassy and orange looking after a while, not cute! I tried it once on my dark brown hair and had to redye it to get the orange out.

'Sun-in' on hair when not sunny?

I used sun-in for the first time a few weeks ago, with a blow drier. I thought the results looked really good (blonde not orange) and it did not fry my hair at all, in fact it made it shinny. My hair is already blonde, and I didn't use the whole bottle. Also if you have brown hair (Like your avatar) you probally shouldnt use it as there is a warning right on the back saying it will turn your hair orange. But other wise I say go for it! Good product!

How can I tame frizzy hair and stay away from dry hair???

I condition my thick hair with "hello hydration" from herbal essences and then blow dryer my hair 15 mintues later.it ends up dry and my layers stick out weirdly.what am i doing wrong?

How can I tame frizzy hair and stay away from dry hair???

I got a glaze treatment done my stylist told me it would help a lot though I still can't get by with blow drying alone I have to flat iron it it has helped a lot.

How can I tame frizzy hair and stay away from dry hair???

redken smooth down heat glide

How can I tame frizzy hair and stay away from dry hair???

the straightener i use is Remington "wet to straight", so even if my hair is a little moist it does a really good job with not a lot of frizz. there is also this spray i use after showering thats dove anti frizz and moisture, it;s in an blue bottle and helps before straightening or blow drying

How can I tame frizzy hair and stay away from dry hair???

i have that same problem and i hate it. what you do is that you go to the store and look up a shampoo that is for fizz and dry hair. that should work the most for you.

How can I tame frizzy hair and stay away from dry hair???

ummm some sorta shampoo and conditioner, idk rly i have the same problem kinda! I swim so in the summer so it gets dry, and i am just a little puerican and they have frizzy hair.

How can I tame frizzy hair and stay away from dry hair???

Well i think you are probably drying your to long and if you put the dryer on low then it will come out more hydrated and stay the way you want it. Also the conditioner you are using is good, that you are doing right. If this still doesnt help then you might want to use different shampoo. :) good luck on yahoo answers :)

How can I tame frizzy hair and stay away from dry hair???

Are you using a diffuser on the end of the blow dryer? If not that is what you need. Also try putting some anti-frizz product in it first and then blow dry. Herbal essence is not really a good line of product for frizzy hair, I recommend Redken products, the heat glide works well with blw drying,

How can I tame frizzy hair and stay away from dry hair???

ok well, how do you dry it.

do you move the dryer up the hair shaft, or down?

you should be blowing down, in the way you brush your hair. this will prevent breaking the shaft and causing split ends, dryness, and frizz :((

i use one of the 2 products

Suave Kids Detangling Spray (i know its for kids but it works wonders)

Garnier Fructis sleek and shine weightless anti frizz serum leave -in

this is cheap and works pretty well

if this doesnt work for you, bring a small travel size brush w/ you everywhere. just spray some water on it, this helps tons!

How can I tame frizzy hair and stay away from dry hair???

Try Infusium 23 products

Can ______ damage your hair?

Can.......

1) Hot showers

2) Using the blow-dryer

Damage hair?

Can ______ damage your hair?

yes i always turn the water on cool or slightly warm to wash my hair. ive only used the blow-dryer twice in my life

Can ______ damage your hair?

using the blow dryer i think can damage your hair

hot showers make your skin dry

Can ______ damage your hair?

Using the blow dryer, any type of heat styling tool can damage your hair, especially if yo do not use the right heat protection, I know. The most hot water can do is mess up your hair style lol.

Can ______ damage your hair?

Warm showers are better for your hair and skin, but don't be afraid to indulge. Blow dryers are also bad for hair if you aren't taking care of it. By using restoring creams etc., good shampoos and proper styling products you can repair the damage from styling tools.

Different hair types have different needs. You might benefit from blowing your hair dry if it naturally dries unattractively. As long as you take care of your hair - also with regular cuts - using blow dryers, curlers, straighters etc. is fine.

Can ______ damage your hair?

blow dryers can, and hot water can maybe give you dry skin, use warm water for your hair in the shower.

Are 'ionic' hairdryers really that much better for your hair?

I mean, they're all just about blowing hot air on it to make it dry really, aren't they?

Is the whole 'ionic' negative ion thing being better for your hair in dryers/straighteners just a gimmick?

Are 'ionic' hairdryers really that much better for your hair?

At school, they teach us that ionic hair dryers are the best dryers to use in the salon because they get rid of static electricity and the heat bonds from the dryer bond with the shampoo, conditioner, and styling products and activate their ingredients and they work a lot better.

When I use it on my clients with longer hair, I see that it gets rid of static electricity in the hair...but thats about it lol.

Are 'ionic' hairdryers really that much better for your hair?

I purchaced one of those Igea ionic dryers years ago, I do not notice any differance infact I have gone back to using my regular blowdryer, so I think it is up to you. Personally I do not see any differance.

Are 'ionic' hairdryers really that much better for your hair?

I am not sure. But my hair dresser told me thar diffuser work best. If you cannot get one, or yours is broken, put a sock over a hair dryer and turn it on. It will make the air come out slower, but will leave you with gorgeous hair.

Are 'ionic' hairdryers really that much better for your hair?

Ionic dryers are the best

The reason why is the negative ions cause water molecules to explode ,making your hair dry way fast.

Regular dryers just causes evaporation.

The ions also hit open cuticle forcing them closed. that's why they make your hair so smooth and shiny.

The ions also help to "activate" styling product in your hair.

Also make sure you get a dryer with a ceramic heating element, like the Chi. Ceramic produces radiant heat that does not carry as far into your hair shaft as say a steel heating element. That way Your drying your hair, not drying OUT your hair.

Also always blow dry down the hair shaft. from roots to ends. That way your following the direction of the cuticle layer making it smoother. when you blow dry up the hair shaft you Will cause cuticle to lift.

so its better not to blow dry with your head upside down and blow it all over, (unless your late to work)lol

stylist 12 years

Are 'ionic' hairdryers really that much better for your hair?

The ionic hair dryers do get rid of frizz, but they aren't like ceramics; they don't thin and shine your hair.

Staticky hair?

for some reason when Im at home or going some where that isn't school my hair is perfectly normal but when I'm in school after about an hour or so my hair is staticky.

everyday I use a round brush, blow dryer, and hair spray to make it have more volume.

how can i get it to be not so staticky anymore?

i don't want to change hairstyles because I hate wearing my hair up or slicked down in the winter

Staticky hair?

Spray your hairbrush with hairspray or Static Guard before your comb your hair. It helps take the static out of your hair.

Staticky hair?

run a dryer sheet through your hair

Staticky hair?

try an use a hair shiner and spray your hair every morning with that, i wash my hair everymrning beofre i go to the office and i get static as well, however i use hair shiner as soon as i have strightened my hair and it works brilliantly - try ......and let me know.

Staticky hair?

use serum it helps

Staticky hair?

well try using a normal flat brush and maybe try some different shampoo

Staticky hair?

my hair gets really staticky as well, and i hate wearing my hair up! so what i use is a tiny dab of conditioner, like seriously tiny or else it will look oily, that does the trick for me, good luck

Staticky hair?

you can run a dry sheeter, and also change your pillow case to satin ones it really reduces static.

Staticky hair?

Its probably to do with all the flourescent lights they have at school, causing electric static. Try smoothing a dryer asheet through it before you leave in the morning, and take one with you to use throughout the day. Get unperfumed ones though or yoy'll smell like a launderette!

Staticky hair?

I have the same problem!!! it drives me CRAZY!! so i totally know what your talking about.

I use Paul Mitchell "seal and shine" spray.

It helps for when using a blowdryer or straightener ...but it also helps with staticky hair.

Hope I helped....GOOD LUCKK
