Can ______ damage your hair?

Can.......

1) Hot showers

2) Using the blow-dryer

Damage hair?

Can ______ damage your hair?

yes i always turn the water on cool or slightly warm to wash my hair. ive only used the blow-dryer twice in my life

Can ______ damage your hair?

using the blow dryer i think can damage your hair

hot showers make your skin dry

Can ______ damage your hair?

Using the blow dryer, any type of heat styling tool can damage your hair, especially if yo do not use the right heat protection, I know. The most hot water can do is mess up your hair style lol.

Can ______ damage your hair?

Warm showers are better for your hair and skin, but don't be afraid to indulge. Blow dryers are also bad for hair if you aren't taking care of it. By using restoring creams etc., good shampoos and proper styling products you can repair the damage from styling tools.

Different hair types have different needs. You might benefit from blowing your hair dry if it naturally dries unattractively. As long as you take care of your hair - also with regular cuts - using blow dryers, curlers, straighters etc. is fine.

Can ______ damage your hair?

blow dryers can, and hot water can maybe give you dry skin, use warm water for your hair in the shower.

'Sun-in' on hair when not sunny?

Does using a blow dryer on hair when it has the product 'Sun-in' on it work just as well as being in the natural sun?

'Sun-in' on hair when not sunny?

Yes only if you are very careful, use a minimal amount, and have light hair (as in dark blond or lighter) it turns your hair orange if you use too much. Last summer I nearly used a bottle of sun-in with a blow drier and it left it a bit dull (not as shiny as it would had I been in the sun), but it did get lighter.

It may be okay if you use a shampoo/conditioner that is for colored hair.

ps.the more you keep redoing it with sun-in, the blonder it gets, but the more damaged also.

'Sun-in' on hair when not sunny?

You'll probably get different results. I was under the impression that Sun-in worked best with the light from the sun. Heat might yield different colors. Also, the sun provides a more controllable result. I'd stick with the sun.

'Sun-in' on hair when not sunny?

PLEASE DO NOT USE SUN IN, itworks horribly, I used it on my hair and it frizzed it took me nearly two years to grow my hair out again. sorry for being so dramatic about it just don't want ya to experience what I did. God Bless

try going to a salon

'Sun-in' on hair when not sunny?

please don't use sun-in. it's a terrible product, it really fries your hair.

'Sun-in' on hair when not sunny?

yeah sun in isnt good it will turn youre hair orange

'Sun-in' on hair when not sunny?

Sun-in will turn your hair orange if you have darker hair. It works about the same with the sun and the blow dryer. But even if it looks ok at first, it will start to turn brassy and orange looking after a while, not cute! I tried it once on my dark brown hair and had to redye it to get the orange out.

'Sun-in' on hair when not sunny?

I used sun-in for the first time a few weeks ago, with a blow drier. I thought the results looked really good (blonde not orange) and it did not fry my hair at all, in fact it made it shinny. My hair is already blonde, and I didn't use the whole bottle. Also if you have brown hair (Like your avatar) you probally shouldnt use it as there is a warning right on the back saying it will turn your hair orange. But other wise I say go for it! Good product!

How do i get out my perm without ruining my hair?

I got a perm almost a year ago and it wont wash out. Naturally i have like stick straight hair and i want to go back to that. Does anyone know an easy way to get rid of it that wont make my hair and dryer then it already is. p.s. a straight perm is not the answer, i need a free way that i can do at home.

How do i get out my perm without ruining my hair?

well, im having the same problem. I got a perm almost 3 years ago. when i started to straight iron it it got a little better. but use a protectant. otherwise your hair will start breaking. if you get a better answer let me know!!

Help! I hate the texture of my hair...any advice?

Okay so my hair is a little damaged from dying it and using heat hair tools- blow dryer and flat iron. I haven't dyed it for a couple months because I'm trying to give it a break. I use a flat iron and/or dryer 3-4 times a week. I feel like I have tried every product and home treatment possible to improve the texture of my hair and nothing has worked for me- even the expensive stuff I've only seen a SLIGHT improvement. The problem with my hair is that there is moderate breakage so it is dry and brittle, it is slightly frizzy, and also slightly wavy. Do you have any recommendations for treatments or products I can use to bring shine back to my hair? To make it soft, supple, and smooth?

Also, I don't like to always style it straight, but everytime I try to scrunch it with mousse, volume gel, and a diffuser it just looks like a bad perm from the 80s...its all fluffy and frizzy, when what I'm going for is pretty, subtle waves! Any good products, tools, or strategies for this?

Help! I hate the texture of my hair...any advice?

I need to read your answers, Because I have that same nasty

hair.

Help! I hate the texture of my hair...any advice?

Please let me know if you find a product that really works Report It

Help! I hate the texture of my hair...any advice?

try coconut oil email for more details Report It

Help! I hate the texture of my hair...any advice?

put chewing gum in it

Help! I hate the texture of my hair...any advice?

Use the african american hair oil products. they're great for dry hair.

Help! I hate the texture of my hair...any advice?

It works so well you won't imagine it could!! I use this very economical brand: Suave Professionals Sleek Shampoo and Conditioner. It's in an orange bottle and will totally make you amazed after one use!

Works as well as Matrix!

Help! I hate the texture of my hair...any advice?

Try some John Freida Frizz Ease. Put it on your hair while it is still wet. The you can let it dry naturally (curls) or blow dry it. It well help the shine and cut down the frizz.

Hair products recommendation for coloured hair?

My hair is thick and there's hardly any hairfalls.Recently,i dyed my hair. After a few days time,i hair bacame courser, dryer, gets tangled easily and a LOT of hair is falling out. What hair product can be used on coloured, curly hair to give it a shine, smooth and silky texture and less hairfall?

Hair products recommendation for coloured hair?

coloring hair (chemicals) will do that ...

i use all natural products on my hair, face %26amp; body ... Burt's Bees has a color keeper shampoo %26amp; conditioner that is wonderful! give it a whirl.

also, when you get out of the shower, to give your hair some luster %26amp; shine, put some almond oil on it, whether wet or dry, just don't use a lot ... you don't want it to look greasy.

Hair products recommendation for coloured hair?

Use a rich in moisture shampoo and conditioner, preferably from the salon, and use a hair serum. It should do the trick!

Good luck :)

Hair products recommendation for coloured hair?

i think the dye you used may be hurting your hair. you could ask your stylist to use a different dye next time. but gat a shampoo that is specialized in colored hair becuase it will make your hair stronger and feel softer.

Hair products recommendation for coloured hair?

pantene products are the best try biosilk too, and theres a hair weaving method where you weave the bottoms of your haid out and it takes off the dead part, so your hair looks more alive and pretty./

Hair products recommendation for coloured hair?

i use clariol nice and easy it is cheapest and i like the brand but i am going green so that is my former hair dye. green hair products will help the environment.

Hair products recommendation for coloured hair?

Redkin makes some excellent products for colored treated hair and they sell there products in Salon and I think I seen them on the shelves of walmarts too. Anyway here is there web site if u want to take a look..http://www.redken.com/home.cfm

Best hair removal?

i have really sensitive skin, i've tried removing hair with razors and they jus make my skin very dry and it starts to itch. putting on lotion, baby oil, etc after shaving and my skin still itches. im scared that if i use wax, itll even make my skin dryer. what hair removal technique should i use?

Best hair removal?

I have sensitive skin too, I like Veet hair removal cream for sensitive skin. I like how it leaves my skin smooth, painless and no itch! Try a patch test first before using it to make sure that you're not allergic. There's also permanent hair laser removal but that could cost you a lot.

Best hair removal?

Alexandrite Laser hair removal, or YAG if you are dark skinned.

Do not go to epilight IPL removal. It doesn't work.

Best hair removal?

American Laser center by far - they work for all skin types and pigments. You'll love them I swear!

Best hair removal?

Laser Hair Removal would be the best because then you would be done with it and you would have no more worrys.

The www.HairRemovalForum.com site below offers you information on the best types of lasers and helps you to see if you are a candidate. The www.SignatureForum.com site ranks providers nationally and helps you to see who is good at offering the service.

Good luck.

Best hair removal?

Plucking (tweezing), Shaving, Depilatory creams and Waxing are temporary hair removal methods.

Waxing usually lasts for 3 weeks, but it is painful.

Electrolysis and laser hair removal are 閳ユ笡ermanent閳?hair removal methods but are expensive and you have to find a trained professional, otherwise your skin could be damaged.

I am an African American woman who has dyed her hair one time too many and my hair is very dry.?

I also relax my hair. Can someone tell me what brand of product to get that doesn't make my hair even dryer?

I am an African American woman who has dyed her hair one time too many and my hair is very dry.?

African-American hair, because of its fragile structure,

can be easily damaged by not only chemical services, but

by day-to-day styling. Hot irons, dryers, and curlers can

damage the hair very easily. Once damaged, the only way

to have healthy hair is to allow it to grow out and start

over again...

There are ways to make African-Amercian hair look less

damaged while it is growing out. When shampooing, make

sure you use a moisturizing shampoo followed by a strong

conditioner, leaving it on as long as you possibly can

for maximum penetration. Look for conditioners that have

proteins and humectants. If your scalp is on the oily side,

keep the conditoner away from the scalp and concentrate it

on the shaft and ends of the hair. Once a week, do a deep

conditoning treatment. Using a drop or two of a silicone

serum can add shine and smooth down the hair...

Looking Good (M-F) email appearance tips.

This deep conditioning treatment is great for dry, distressed,

or damaged hair...

Mash a ripe avocado in a bowl. Add 3 tablespoons of mayonnaise

and mix well. Apply it to dry hair and distribute it evenly to

the ends. Cover with a plastic shower cap and then cover with

a towel to keep the heat in. You can heat up the towel in the

dryer to maximize benefits. Leave on 30 minutes and shampoo

it thoroughly. Apply a light conditioner afterwards if you like...

Many people, especially those with curly hair, like the

way their hair feels at the beach. Curls are more defined

and hair seems to have more body. You can duplicate that

look by taking a clear, carbonated soda, such as Sprite or

7-Up and putting it in a spray bottle. Spritz it on damp

curly, or wavy hair, tossle with your fingers....

I am an African American woman who has dyed her hair one time too many and my hair is very dry.?

Hi, I'm half :) There's a product at the beauty supply that is a yellow/gold label with some purple writing or a logo, it really stands out, so you'll find it, and they have a leave in conditioner and a heavier conditioner that can help with dryness, but if you relax and color your hair, the damage is done. You're going to have to wait for it all to grow out if it is really bad. I went blonde once and was frizzy for about a year until I had enough "virgin" uncolored/processed hair grown out so I could trim all the frizzies.

There are some tips at this site: http://beauty.ivillage.com/hair/volumesh...

I am an African American woman who has dyed her hair one time too many and my hair is very dry.?

TRY USING DOO GROW PRODUCTS WORKS VERY WELL FOR ME ALSO KEEP THE HEAT OUT OF YOUR HAIR AND YOU MIGHT TRY GOING LONGER IN BETWEEN PREMS

I am an African American woman who has dyed her hair one time too many and my hair is very dry.?

I use a product called Mizani. Mizani has an entire line of products. Honestly, you should never relax your own hair, even if that means having some one else do it at home for you. It has to do with timing and proper application. I also use Optimum Care "Light" Hair Dressing. It is phenomenal at keeping your hair from getting dry but it is extremely light weight on your hair. When you wash /relax your at home allow it to air dry a little before blow drying. Drink plenty of water, it really makes a difference. Always sleep with a silk or satin head wrap. It moves with your hair and does not take the moisture out of your hair.

I am an African American woman who has dyed her hair one time too many and my hair is very dry.?

There is a perm out called olive it's in a light green box, it's really good try it. Also you have to use moisturizing shampoos and conditioners, and deep condition your hair with the hair cholesterol it's really good also, put the moisture back in your hair and keep your scalp oiled, olive has a excellent hair moisturizer comes in a bottle and a jar which ever you prefer.

How do I keep loose hair out of my clean clothes???***????

I live in a house with my three daughters...so that makes 4 ladies. We all have long hair.... I am so sick of having to comb through my towels (any clothing) after taking them out of the dryer for hair. I will constantly find hair in my clean clothes. All of us have hair to our shoulder blades and are unwilling to cut. What can I do to prevent the hair from randomly attaching itself to my clean laundry???

How do I keep loose hair out of my clean clothes???***????

Fabric Softner or Fabric sheets in the dryer.

How do I keep loose hair out of my clean clothes???***????

Change your dryer linen out often. It does best in taking out hair and loose debris.

Vacuum the house daily and use fabric softener sheets

I just got relaxed hair...?

Hi, I just got my hair relaxed. My mom's old best friend took me and her daughter to get it done... her treat. I've never gotten my hair professionally done, though -- and when I came home, I looked online and saw a bunch of "rules" and "guidelines" for it. Now I have a ton of questions XD

Is there a special shampoo you need to use? And are you supposed to wash your hair everyday? Is a conditioner necessary? If so what type?

How do you dry your hair? Blow dryer? Towel? Need a comb, too?

They told me to wait two days until I could wash my hair. And, well, it's been two days XD

I'm Asian, if that makes any difference.

Thanks so much for your help! (I don't think I'm going to ever get my hair done after this LOL. It's just that I'm gonna meet them again in a few days and I don't want to mess it up... plus I don't want to do something that will make my hair look worse o.O)

I just got relaxed hair...?

No just use a shampoo that adds moisture to your hair. No you never suppose to wash your hair everyday, shampooing removes the naturals oils from your hair. You always suppose to use a conditioner on your hair. Use a same conditioner that adds moisture to your hair. I wet set my hair. ( Rolling up my hair with rollers while it is wet.) I never use any heated hair appliance to my hair while I have a relaxer on it. You should always comb your hair with a wide tooth comb to decrease hair breakage.

I just got relaxed hair...?

.,it depends on your hair., if ur hair is thin,. then u don't need to use shampoo everyday. for example use shampoo only mwf and conditoner for tths.,

.,if you have dry hair of hair falls., then use hair fall control shampoo., pantene will do.,.

I just got relaxed hair...?

no there's no special shampoo use something good not cheap like i use tresemme moisture rich, and dont wash every day period that's bad for any hair you can dry it out that way

umm i towel dry then i use tresemme heat tamer and spray while wet and then when it's like 90% dry i use a low setting blow dryer, use a wide tooth comb to dangle

ummm that's up to you if you want to wash it i mean i would wait at lest a week, but it's up to you

do it doesn't make a difference cause your Alain

your welcome

I just got relaxed hair...?

you really don't have to wash your hair everyday, you will know when you need to wash it. Use a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. BEDHEAD Dumb Blonde is good. Before you blow dry your hair, use a thermal protectant, Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum is my personal favorite. It will give your hair shine, and cut down on blowdry time, and it makes your hair really silky. hope this helped.

Herbal Essences Hello Hydration of Bath and Body Works moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. Both are inexpensive.

What is the best Shampoo and Conditioner to buy for thin hair that is dry?

IDK BUT I WANT KNOW TOO.

What is the best Shampoo and Conditioner to buy for thin hair that is dry?

I have sunsilk for dry dry hair. They have about 1,000,000 different types for every hair type. I love it and you can find it ANYWHERE! I use it and it worth every cent I payed for it and its not even expensive!!! good luck!

What is the best Shampoo and Conditioner to buy for thin hair that is dry?

yup, herbal essences hello hydration rocks! and my hair gets hydrated too.

Which of these 2 hair dryers is recommended to buy FHI NANO PRO 1800 CERAMIC or the Super Solano Pro

My hair is really dry.?

I have long dry hair, especially at the end of my hair.

My hair got dryer after i perm it.

But for my frindge, it looks healthy %26amp; shiny.

It really looks weird with the frindge healthy %26amp; shiny

%26amp; the ends dry.

What can i do to make it look healthy?

My hair is really dry.?

Perms are really bad for your hair, they fry it.

If it's the ends of your hair, then you really just

need to cut off a couple inches, that hair is basically dead.

They're probably dry split ends, then they're never going to get better, you just need to cut them off.

It will look so much better.

My hair is really dry.?

You won't like this, but in order to get it healthy, you will have to cut off the damaged part and keep up with trims, otherwise, you're fighting a losing battle.

My hair is really dry.?

Go to a beaurty salon and get a treatment...also use Creme of Nature shampoo for dry and brittle hair...its detangling and it works really good and a better conditioner...

My hair is really dry.?

One word: Conditioner

My hair is really dry.?

put it in a sink. with water running.

My hair is really dry.?

You either need to get a trim to remove the dead ends, or get a deep conditioner, and apply it only to your ends and sleep with it in. It will help keep your hair moisturized, but don't use it on the scalp and it might leave it looking greasy. :) Fructis makes a really good one that's cheap.

My hair is really dry.?

Get a hair cut, a hot oil treatment, and damadge remedy shampoo and conditioner by aveda.

My hair is really dry.?

In order to keep it healthy you need to cut of the damaged part, and keep on getting trims a lot.

Or you can get a short look, so you won't have to trim that often.

My hair is really dry.?

use head and sholders!

My hair is really dry.?

Towel dry it...

My hair is really dry.?

You can give your hair an olive oil mask. You probably have it in the kitchen. Just put it on while you're in the bath for about 15 minutes. Also, you can try a beaten egg, or mayonaise. (I don't like the mayo treatment though. Makes me feel like a ham sandwich even after you wash it off) But the olive oil really does help improve the dryness.

But, if they're split, you'd better get them cut off. I didn't one time, and they split almost up to my scalp. I had to cut it all off completely short.

My hair is really dry.?

get it cut. thats the only way your gonna get rid off thoes dry ends. you should get your hair trimmed every 6 weeks to avoid split ends. also, use a intense conditioning treatment once a week and everytime you wash your hair use conditioner. lay off dyes and perming it for a while and use a protection spray when drying and straighting it if you ever do that

My hair is really dry.?

This might be a shampoo that is cheap, but it works soooooooo well, Pantene. They have many different brands of the kind of hair you have. So pick the one that would work best for you. My hair isnt dry anymore because i use it. Good luck! and we all know that dry hair really does stink! ( i mean the sucks kinda stink)

My hair is really dry.?

Try Redken All Soft Heavy Cream

Apply once a week for two weeks then every other week after that.

This will repair the damage.

My hair is really dry.?

Take prenatal vitamin and put some Olive oil in your hair once a week to every two weeks like enough to cover your head but not dripping cover it with plastic wrap then wrap a warm towel around it then wash out after 30 minutes also the Body Shop has coconut Oil Hair Shine thats great

http://www.thebodyshop.com/bodyshop/brow...

Also i like Biosilk silk therapy. You might try getting your ends trimmed!

My hair is really dry.?

You should get a good trim. Half an inch isn閳ユ獩 really going to be taking too much off the length, but it will make a huge improvement to the looks of your ends. Use a conditioner after every shampoo. Herbal Essences and Aussie from the grocery store/ drug store are good. Better is Nexxus from the hair salon. They will let you know which one is the best for your hair type. Nexxus has good conditioners that you spray on and leave in too. I personally like the Aveda cherry almond conditioner- it閳ユ獨 a little pricey though.

My hair is really dry.?

you just need to get the dead ends trimmed off

cuz they are already dead

and they do not come back to life...

so, ya. you are just wasting

your time trying to repair them...

My hair is really dry.?

Why don't you try taking a break from perming and just wash and get a deep condition at your favorite salon. Treat yourself for the holidays. Okay. I hope my answer helped. Happy Turkey day!

My hair is really dry.?

pantene pro-V. You'll like it.

My hair is really dry.?

I agree with ev1 here. I would suggest putting peanut oil on the end's as well as trimming it.

My hair is really dry.?

I have the same problem... I go to the salon about once every 3-4 months... I get a simple deep conditioning... It usually costs about 10 bucks but does wonder for your scalp and "dead" fly aways... The first day or two it looks really oily, but it goes aways real quick and it makes your hair look evenly healthy

My hair is really dry.?

A generous oil application and massage is recommended before washing the hair. Frequent shampooing is harmful for dry hair. Sometimes lack of nutrients can also cause dry brittle hair. Take a multivitamin and mineral supplement on a daily basis. Check out http://solutionsfordryhair.blogspot.com/ for more info.

What is a way to style my big curly hair so that it is a little less volume??

like what are some good smoothing products and hair lotions?

thanks!

p.s. best inexpensive diffusing hair blow dryer that's good?

What is a way to style my big curly hair so that it is a little less volume??

As a former hair stylist who loved working with curly hair, here are a few tips:

1) Have your stylist use thinning shears in the area that is the heaviest (typically throughout the bottom which is why it looks big.

2) Have layers cut into your hair

3) CHI ION Blowdryer w/ diffuser attachment. I have had mine for 2 years and works incredibley well.

4) There is a tool for curly hair that costs something like $2.50. I know for a fact that an Aveda Lifestyles salon would carry it. You could prob find it in a beauty supply store also. It's like a rounded comb if that makes sense. It has a handle and like 6 prongs coming out, you kind of twirl and comb your hair at the same time and it will make your curls look really soft and shiny.

Hope this helps :)

What is a way to style my big curly hair so that it is a little less volume??

Whats the best way to put a hot oil treatment in your hair?

When I use hot oil treatments in my hair I use them once per week and I soak the oil in a cup of hot hot water for 3 mins. Then I jump in the shower and wash my hair then put the oil in. Massage it in very very good though. Then 3 days out of the week I only rinse half of the conditioner out of my hair cause it leaves my hair soft and natural looking. I have very dry hair but I get comments now about how healthy and shiny it looks...you can complete the look with Citrishine also for when you get out of the shower...you just apply it to your hair like you would gel or mousse.

Hair curls?

I am a girl .I have long hair. My hair are straight but at the ends , i get slight curls. When I wash my hair,as they start getting naturally dried they start becoming curly. If I dry my hair with dryer then they become straight but i dont want to use dryer as it weakens the hair.

So please give me some tips on how to get my hair straight without going to hair dresser.

Thanks in advance

Hair curls?

I would get some heat protection to put on your hair before you blow dry it.And then if you want it really straight you could use a flat iron. Also if you want to make it so your hair is wavy(Since you do have a wave to it)you could by some curl enhancer and theneither let it airdry or diffuse it.

Good luck:)

Hair curls?

HI WHY NOT TRY SOME HAIR SERUM ON THE ENDS ...HOPE THIS HELPS ...FIZZ EASE IS A GOOD ONE

Hair curls?

Wht not get a heat treatment spray that stops your hair getting damaged if you use a hairdryer on the ends

Hair curls?

I would use ceramic hair straighteners after letting your hair dry naturally. If you condition your hair enough and use hair protector from the heat of the straighteners your hair should stay in good condition and you will have the straight hair you want in a matter of minutes.

Hair curls?

My hair is naturally fizzy and I found a great product that tames wild hair and curls. Its called Garnier Fructis--Sleek and Shine. It comes in a small round green container. And a little bit goes a long way. Try it---it works. Good Luck.

Hair curls?

hair serum is probably your best bet

I'm a swimmer and I need hair pointers!?

Ok well..I swim everyday except weekends. My hair is naturally dry, frizzy, and wavy and the pool water makes my hair even dryer and worse than it naturally is. I also straighten my hair at least twice a week.So what can I do to rehydrate or just take care of my hair? Any home remedies?? Shampoo and Conditioner?? and quitting swim is not an option..I just love swimming for my high school%26lt;33

I'm a swimmer and I need hair pointers!?

Yes - get Malibu 2000 Swimmer's Action Shampoo %26amp; Conditioner. You can find it at good salons or Trade Secret beauty stores. It smells great too.

I'm a swimmer and I need hair pointers!?

you can use pantene pro v relaxed and natural or hair maonaise, stop straightening it if you are going to swim and wear a swim cap, also put conditioner in it before you swm and after you swim.

I'm a swimmer and I need hair pointers!?

If you're a frequent swimmer, I would recommend shaving your whole entire body (except your magic parts. Just trim the hair on those really short with a pair of scissors) to make yourself more hydrodynamic.

I'm a swimmer and I need hair pointers!?

i have stuff for my hair called vitamin e its healthy for ur hair and it doesnt make it so frizzy i got it in a dollar store thats a good deal though it didnt really cost a dollar it cost like 4 or buy it at a hair store they have it there to but the dollar store is cheaper for some thing that is a goood price but i dont now bout the hair stores u should stop puttin so much chamicals in it perms and all that other stuff

I'm a swimmer and I need hair pointers!?

I loved swimming too. When I was in high school I swam for our TEAM.Nice memories..OK, right to your question. Try the

Vo5 hot oil treatment. It may sound "old" fashioned but I think it will do what you need. Keep your body well hydrated and try using some seame seed oil in your diet. Flax seed too.

I'm a swimmer and I need hair pointers!?

I understand your problem Im a swimmer too. WEll there are a couple of options

1. Perm it if you want

2. Tie it up in the water.

3. Use leave in conditioner before you get in the water- a good one is Garnier Frutic Leave in Conditioning Cream- I got it for $4

4. Use a swim cap

5.DOn't straigthen it that much beleive me same thing happened to my hair leave it alone and it will become more sleek and shiny but tie it up but not too much or you'll get a line going through your hair where you tie.

I hope this was helpful! Im desperate for some points. Please help me!

I'm a swimmer and I need hair pointers!?

i had the same thing with my hair and i used Earbal Essence it really rehydrates your hair the conditioner anyway does the best. To me the shampoo hydrates your hair and when you use the conditioner it re hydrates it and makes it silky and shiny too.

Which is a characteristic of electromagnet that make useful in simple tools, such as doorbell &

(A) they can be very strong

(B) they can't transmite electricity

(C) they can be switched on %26amp; off

(D) they can be made of plastic

Which is a characteristic of electromagnet that make useful in simple tools, such as doorbell %26amp; hair dryers?

I would say c because even a weak magnet can be useful ie pocket rc cars(under two inches in size) use them to turn the wheels.

Which is a characteristic of electromagnet that make useful in simple tools, such as doorbell %26amp; hair dryers?

Gotta say C and maybe A. You don't need an epecially strong electromagnet for either of these (Not like the car lifter at the junkyard), but it's vital to be able to turn them on and off. The doorbell solenoid is only energized while your finger is pushing the button (Ding). When you shut it off by removing your finger, the spring pulls the plunger back (Dong).

Which is a characteristic of electromagnet that make useful in simple tools, such as doorbell %26amp; hair dryers?

I would say C. I cant imagine what a hair dryer would have an electromagnet in it for? A coil, yes, a magnet, no.

Inside the dryer, there's a small mechanism called a "black hole"

There's also a much larger black hole near the sun.

When the hot air from the sun goes into that black hole, it is transported into the hair dryer...

They don't. There's a whole sh!t load of very tiny elves inside each dryer. When you turn on the power, it scares the hell out of them and they all start farting.

What are some cute easy hair styles?

OK so the obvious answers are the fashionable puff on the top just bobby pin your hair up in the way where your bangs stand up and let the rest of your hair down or put it up in a pony tail. There are also tons of different variations of the Pony tail you could do.The half up half down pony tail and also the peacock bun aka messy bun. Also french braided pig tails are really fun and there is also a really cool thing called fish tailing that you can do to your hair its a kind of elaborate braid. and the Topsy tail which is like an inside out pony tail. All of these are really fun and are relatively easy.

Have fun and good luck

How to use just a littlie of a hair product?

I am an African American female, and I had used no-lye relaxers for years until I found out that after some time, they make your hair even dryer. So I stopped using it. But because of the dryness in my hair, I would use a lot of pink lotion to get the dryness out. And now I starting to use this new line of hair products that says use lightly, but I'm so used to using a lot to get the job done. And I also have thick hair so it's hard for me to know if I've applied the product all over my hair or just some parts. So can someone please give me advice on how to use hair products lightly on thick African American hair, so that it's all over the hair, and not just some parts. Thanks!

How to use just a littlie of a hair product?

well im not black, half black half white. and yesterday i was gonna try the pink lotion until i saw it had mineral oil in it. which is bad...mineral oil makes the hair look shiny...but it all it does is coat the hair..and regular shampoo will not get it ALL off...it will come off somewhat...but not all...i read this on the internet....anyways, i try not to use things that have mineral oil in it. and i have frizzy curly, THICK hair. so when products say to use a dime sized amount, i be hoping they talking about a dime sized amount for every inch of hair i get. haha but just go ahead and use the product as much as you need...not alot of people have thick hair....so it puts use lightly because the people that dont have thick hair, it weighs it down making it look greasy and gross. so go ahead and use as much as you need...maybe go little by little in your hair...like part it...and use a little bit, on a part of the hair...and if u see u need more keep using more on that certain part of hair until u have enough. uve got to use enough right? and just brush the hair through....so yeah, use it lightly on parts of hair so that way u know that u got it all over...but if lightly isnt working and ur convinced u need more, by all means go ahead and use the whole bottle!

How to use just a littlie of a hair product?

if the product is meant to b used on the scalp, then using ur finger tips apply and massage a little at a time till ur full scalp is mosturised. if its meant for the hair, section ur hair into 4 parts, rub the lotion between ur palms and rub through the hair sections.

How to use just a littlie of a hair product?

This is how you apply it to your hair. Section off in 4's. Each section apply the products. Just pour some into your hand and apply it to your hand. Your are suppose to use the product on the entire head.

How to use just a littlie of a hair product?

I'm African American and white so I know what your talking about.

What I do is part my hair down the middle, like I'm about to put my hair in braids or pigtails, and rub the product on my hands and put it all through my hair with my finger tips.

||do one side of your hair at a time||

I don't know if you straighten your hair but if you do I suggest you use Frizz-Ease hair serum: extra-strength formula Transform.

It helps my hair stay straight and smooth.

QUESTION ABOUT HAIR! help meee!?

okay so earlier i bought this hair lotion stuff and its for black peoples hair (no, im not racist!) but you know how there hair is dryer than white peoples? i thought if i bought this stuff and put it in the ends of my hair it will help seal my split/frizzy ends. im not thinking about actually wearing it out with this stuff in it because it makes my hair look really oily but like those days your home alone i would put it in my hair and then the next morning wash it out. so do you think this will help my hair? or not? (on the bottle it does say it mends split ends, helps growth, and blah blah but i was worried because i didnt want to damage my hair or if it wouldnt work since im not black?) i know it sounds stupid but i didnt know !

QUESTION ABOUT HAIR! help meee!?

I found a product that works WELL. It is in the black hair care aisle (and no that isn't racist if it's there, as not all products are designed for all hair types) I use it even though I am not that as I find it is not expensive, it is oil free, no buildup in the hair, helps repair and strengthen hair, leaves hair shiny and full of body, and conditions, detangles and softens hair. I just have to use it 3 minutes and I can do this when in the shower.

I find it washes out well also and I have NO greasy hair then.

I discovered it as it is called : Motions at home salon care.

Weightless Detangling Conditioner. They have shampoo in this too , but I only like to use the conditioner as it does what it claims for my hair all EXCEPT for the body building. I have flat, fine hair and that is just a fact of my life I am seeing..LOL

It shows Oil Free . No Buildup on the front so I tried it and now I am hooked on using it. I found it at a walgreens store.

I see they have a website , it is : www. motionshair.com

Check it out and see the product for yourself hopefully there.

QUESTION ABOUT HAIR! help meee!?

im pretty sure that even if it does make your hair look oily, if you use it often, it would dry out your hair...

QUESTION ABOUT HAIR! help meee!?

Its impossible to repair split ends. A split end is the end of your hair split into two pieces, hence, making it impossible to repair. It will make your hair softer but that is it. If you are worried it will damage your hair, then don't, it will only help.

QUESTION ABOUT HAIR! help meee!?

ive used many black hair care products before and my hair is in better condition than ever. it certainly didnt make my hair look greasy or anything.

if your worried about it dont use it. but it cant damage your hair. it will only moisturise it, which is giving you the greasy look. if you really dont want the greay look then dont use it, your hair obviously is not dry enough for the product. an of course your hair is the wrong texture

QUESTION ABOUT HAIR! help meee!?

1) split ends are broken hairs and there is no going ack so you cant fix them .. sorry maytee...

2) cut your hair to get rid of split ends

3) dont bother with this lotion .. as i sed ... there is no going bak .. you cannot fix split ends...

4) i also think this would make your hair thinner and britle as it makes black peoples hair smoother and more moisterized. There hair has hair folicles bigger and bolder so this is why they had thicker hair. thhhis lotion is making there hair thinner .. so it will have the same effect for you.

5) sounds like a waste of time and a waste of money if your not black ..

get a hair cut ... i recomend Toni%26amp;Guy or Zappas.. exspensive but so worth it.

Where do they sell electronic adaptors for things such as hair dryers to use in foreign countries?

Suitcase stores usually have them alongside all the usual travel gadgets.

Where do they sell electronic adaptors for things such as hair dryers to use in foreign countries?

try radio shack or best buy

Where do they sell electronic adaptors for things such as hair dryers to use in foreign countries?

go to any electronic/electrical shops. Here in Saudi Arabia it can be bought from almost any electrical shop. Its because there are two standard here voltages the 110v and the 220 volts. I dont know in your location but im sure it is available. Its name is a voltage converter. its handy measuring about 2"x3"x2.5". and is usually coming in 75-100 watts. Check for a higher wattage for your hair dryer because that will burn the thing down, check the wattage of your hair dryer and make sure the wattage of your converter is higher that that of your hair dryer. good luck

Where do they sell electronic adaptors for things such as hair dryers to use in foreign countries?

They are readily available on the internet. Europe and Asia use different adaptors, so make sure you get what you need.

What does low EMF mean on labeling for hair dryers?

EMF stands for electromagnetic force, and the "low EMF" labeling indicates that the motor in your hair dryer produces a lower-than average amount of EMF radiation. EMF radiation is very common and generally harmless, but in high concentrations it has been known to cause tumors and is suspected to contribute to other health problems.

I'm from US. Going to South Africa. What kind of adapters are needed for curling irons or hair

The only other country that has the same adapter as SA is Namibia, so you wont be able to get one before hand.

It is 3 point, with thick rounded points (like round pencils).

Wait until your in Joburg or Ctown international airports, you'll be able to buy adapters there.

Good luck, and enjoy your trip!

I'm from US. Going to South Africa. What kind of adapters are needed for curling irons or hair dryers?

you can get a universal adaptor. i bought mine in radio shack but can get it in best buy. it has all the adaptors that are used in most of the countries in the world and it is all together. that way, if, on your way to africa, you pass any other countries in europe on your way, you have it ready. and on your way back, just in case you have any stop overs, you are able to use it.

i used mine to my trips to europe and also to my trip to the philippines. it is the most practical thing you can have with you. you can use it for a laptop or for your cell phone if your cell is able to text across the ocean.

I'm from US. Going to South Africa. What kind of adapters are needed for curling irons or hair dryers?

If you will be in a hotel (four or upwards stars) they will provide you with an adapter. But your best bet is to get yourself a multi-adapter. Ask your travel agent to assists (hope they won't charge you for that - in South Africa they don't for that type of assistance).

I'm from US. Going to South Africa. What kind of adapters are needed for curling irons or hair dryers?

Buy it in South Africa. It's cheap and than you make sure you have a good one. Universal adapters do not always fit.

220V or 240V adapters.Avoid the 110V,it will be useless in Africa.

Are Hair-Dryers bad for your hair? What if you used the Cold air option is it still bad?

if you use a quality hair dryer correctly %26amp; take good care of your hair, there is no problem with using one. try to let your hair dry at least somewhat naturally after you get out of the shower, comb (not brush) through your wet hair to get rid of tangles. apply some leave-in heat activated conditioner that will not only help protect your hair but aid in making it sleek and shiny. blowdry your hair but not at the highest heat setting, the medium setting will do. (if it comes w/ an attachement, use it to disperse the air more thoroughly). don't blow dry your hair for too long. once youve blown the style you want, use the cold option to seal/lock in your style %26amp; add volume. hope this helps

Are Hair-Dryers bad for your hair? What if you used the Cold air option is it still bad?

some people say that.........but i use it most of the time.........I don't see anything bad and yeah I used the cold air option too..........I really don't think is bad

Are Hair-Dryers bad for your hair? What if you used the Cold air option is it still bad?

When your hair is wet, your hair is REALLY breakable. Even if you use the cold air option, your hair is going to become damaged to some extent.

There are treatments you can use to help deal with hair trauma, and if you blot your hair and let it air dry a little bit before drying it, you're going to help out a LOT. Also, NEVER go to sleep with your hair wet!

Are Hair-Dryers bad for your hair? What if you used the Cold air option is it still bad?

If you use the cold air option it should be fine, the only thing is that keeping the dryer on this setting will ruin most dryers. Try to put a thermal protector in your hair before drying. Also, if possible try to invest in the tourmaline dryer.

Are Hair-Dryers bad for your hair? What if you used the Cold air option is it still bad?

o don think so, but if u use hair straightner all the time, it's bad for your hair.

Are Hair-Dryers bad for your hair? What if you used the Cold air option is it still bad?

Hair-Dryers can be bad if you use them too much and as far as the cold air option thats not good for you either since cold and wet hair dont ever go together

Are Hair-Dryers bad for your hair? What if you used the Cold air option is it still bad?

they aren't bad for you if you use hair serum. all the cold air option does is give you a cold. (:

oh yeah if you're willing to pay more for a hair dryer, i recommend the ones with ION labeled on the box. it keeps your hair shiny!

Are Hair-Dryers bad for your hair? What if you used the Cold air option is it still bad?

it depends but arent they both the same (cold%26amp;hot)

Are Hair-Dryers bad for your hair? What if you used the Cold air option is it still bad?

Hair dryers are bad for your hair if you use them everyday. That can fry your hair.Every once in a while let your hair dry naturally without any heat.

Are Hair-Dryers bad for your hair? What if you used the Cold air option is it still bad?

yes any kind of heat is bad for your hair. %26amp; Yes the cold blowing part would be better for your hair but it would also take twice as long. Just use the hot for a little bit then when your done use the cold button for a min to set you "do". fyi. :)

Are Hair-Dryers bad for your hair? What if you used the Cold air option is it still bad?

wel yeah hair dryers are bad for your hiar..and the cold setting is a lil better, but it still damages your hair. the heat dires out your ahir and damages it,and the cold setting still has some heat,so i doesnt completely solve the problem, but it does help a lil

Are Hair-Dryers bad for your hair? What if you used the Cold air option is it still bad?

THE BEST THING FOR YOUR HAIR-----

don't go overboard with shampoo and conditioner! if you use too much, it might make your hair feel silkier, but less is more!

also, if you blow-dry in layers, one at a time, it takes a shorter time and helps your hair more.

you can try these, but remeber-the best thing for your hair is air-drying.

What is the fear of hair dryers, serial killers and, celing fans called?

I have these fears as well as many others. I would really like to know the specific kind of names like I have a fear of spiders and the specific name is Arachnephobia. Do someone know what these are?

What is the fear of hair dryers, serial killers and, celing fans called?

Arachnophobia fear of spiders

fear of ceiling fans Electroaltoaviophobia?

No terms for these exist as yet. Maybe you could come up with some suggestions.

motomaniphobia

What is the fear of hair dryers, serial killers and, celing fans called?

Irrational.

~Neeva

What is the fear of hair dryers, serial killers and, celing fans called?

I don't think that any of your fears have been made into an official phobia unless you have a fear of old people (Gerontophobia) or a fear of bums (Hobophobia). You can find a list of phobias at the following link

http://www.phobialist.com/reverse.html

What is the fear of hair dryers, serial killers and, celing fans called?

...Seriously paranoid...

To be honest, some phobias don't have specific terms. For you, I'd just go with "panophobia" - the fear of everything.

However, I doubt you have actual phobias when it comes to these things. It's one thing to be a little freaked out by a ceiling fan, and a whole other thing to go into full-on panic mode. And most of us would be afraid of a serial killer, but do you constantly live in fear of one and/or go to great lengths to avoid one?

Hold up one sec...you're a cheerleader who's afraid of hair dryers?

Whats the cold shot in hair dryers for ?

its usually to help "seal" in the style. for example after you finish gel-ing up your hair, if u would use the hot setting it wouldnt dry just get sticky and make the gel run, but the cool setting will help the gel set quicker or in a girls case, you should curl your hair with a curling iron or rollers and give them a cold shot to lock in the curl longer.

Whats the cold shot in hair dryers for ?

That blows cool or cold air instead of hat air it minamizes heat damage from your hair dryer

Whats the cold shot in hair dryers for ?

after u use the hairdryer or the shower u should rinse ur hair in cold water/air to close up the follicles and it makes ur hair smoother. when u usa the shower u should rinse ur body in cold water too , its good for ur immune and lymphatic system

Whats the cold shot in hair dryers for ?

To bug your siblings with early in the morning when they're still in bed.

Whats the cold shot in hair dryers for ?

The cold shot is simply to set your hair style. For instance if you have finished curling the ends of your hair, blast it with some cool air, and that will help keep the stlye longer. On certain models of hairdryers, it is also used to help reduce frizz and flyaways.

Whats the cold shot in hair dryers for ?

it is to help your hair shine after you dry your hair you should use it .

Does the ion technology in hair dryers really work?

I have an ion hair dryer, hot roller, and flat iron, and I can definitely see a difference when I use those tools compared to the others that I have that aren't ionic. The ionic ones make the hair shinier, smoother, and I believe they cause less damage.

Does the ion technology in hair dryers really work?

When hair is wet, it is vulnerable to damage. They say that you should not style your hair when it is wet. Having said that ionic hair dryers are really fast. It used to take me 1/2 hour to dry my hair. Now I can do it in 5 minutes with a very inexpensive Revlon Ion dryer. Bear in mind that my hair is to my waist and pretty high maintenance. Now it is easier to style my hair.
